[1] Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) Scholarships

The LPDP Scholarship is a scholarship program financed by the Indonesian government through the use of the National Education Development Fund (DPPN) and managed by LPDP to finance further studies in Masters or Doctoral programs at the best universities at home and abroad.

This scholarship aims to support the availability of Indonesian human resources who are educated and qualified and have a high leadership spirit and have a strong vision of the future of the nation as a future leader of Indonesia. The LPDP Scholarship Program is aimed at increasing the accessibility of higher education for the people of Indonesia, while still prioritizing aspects of the quality of education. The LPDP scholarship is expected to be a locomotive for the progress of the Indonesian nation. The target applicants for scholarships are Indonesian citizens (WNI) who meet the requirements, wish to carry out further studies in the Masters program or Doctoral program, and have a post-study contribution plan for the progress of Indonesia.

SCHOLARSHIP COMPONENTS

To support the smoothness and success of further studies in the Master program or Doctoral program at the destination university, scholarship recipients are given funds which include the following components:

[2] Ministry of Religion 5,000 Doctoral Scholarships

The Study Scholarship Program (BS), hereinafter referred to as the 5000 Doctoral Scholarship Program, is a program to provide scholarships for doctoral studies at Domestic Universities (PT-DN) to lecturers, PNS laboratory staff and PTKIN librarians, PNS PTKIN education staff, and civil servants who work in the Islamic Education program at the Directorate General of Islamic Education, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia to improve their quality, capability, and professionalism in the implementation of Islamic higher education which is oriented to improving the quality, relevance, and competitiveness of education.

Program Type

  1. Full scholarship (full scholarship);
  2. Education Completion Assistance (BPP);

The first type of program covers the cost of providing education and assistance for the living needs of students. The cost of providing education includes, among others, registration and selection, tuition, examinations, academic development and strengthening, and management. This assistance is handed over to the host university. Assistance for student needs includes, among others, living expenses, domicile assistance, books and learning resources, as well as research assistance.

The second type of program is in the form of direct assistance to students who are completing doctoral studies at accredited domestic universities, regardless of their place of study.

Program Scheme

The provision of full scholarships in 2019 is given to participants who are declared to have passed the doctoral selection at universities that collaborate with the Directorate General of Islamic Education, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia and the scholarships are approved by the Director General of Islamic Education, Ministry of Religion. The granting of a full scholarship is given for a study period of 3 (three) years or 6 (six) semesters, provided that if the scholarship recipient can complete his studies sooner than that, then the living expenses assistance for him is terminated in the month he is declared to have completed his studies. The determination of the recipient of the full scholarship is stated in the Decree of the Commitment Making Officer, Directorate of Islamic Religious Higher Education, Directorate General of Islamic Education.

The provision of educational completion assistance (BPP) is given to prospective proposers who pass verification. Assistance is given to those who are in the process of completing their doctoral education (S-3). The determination of recipients of education completion assistance (BPP) is contained in the Decree of the Commitment Making Officer, Directorate of Islamic Religious Higher Education, Directorate General of Islamic Education.

[3] Unggulan Dosen Indonesia -Dalam Negeri (BUDI-DN) Scholarships

The Indonesian Lecturer Excellence Scholarship (BUDI), is a scholarship program aimed at permanent lecturers at higher education institutions organized by the government and the private sector within the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (hereinafter abbreviated as Kemenristekdikti) to develop and improve the quality of lecturers according to the strategic needs of universities in Indonesia. Permanent Lecturers are lecturers who work full time, have the status of permanent educators in certain higher education, and receive recognition from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education by granting the National Lecturer Identification Number (NIDN) or Special Lecturer Identification Number (NIDK).

Scholarship Recipients Target

The target of the BUDI program is permanent lecturers at universities within the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education who already have a National Lecturer Identification Number (NIDN) or a Special Lecturer Identification Number (NIDK).
Permanent Lecturers as referred to in paragraph (1) in addition to being able to register for BUDI can also register for the Regular BPI, Affirmation BPI, or BPI PNS/TNI/ and POLRI programs

Scholarship Program Scheme

The BUDI program is only given for a single degree doctoral education.

[4] PhD Fisipol Scholarships

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (Fisipol UGM) will implement a Ph.D. Fisipol UGM Scholarship Program which will be given to new students of the 2020/2021 FY Doctoral Program.
