Mahesti Hasanah graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics Sciences from Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2015. She continued her master’s journey at the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies (IHRP), Mahidol University, Thailand, and graduated in 2019. Her first academic carrier is started in Research Centre for Politics and Government (PolGov) as a research assistant. After leaving for pursuing her master’s degree, she has continued her carrier at the same office until nowaday. Her experts mainly on human rights and democratization, political economy, local democracy, and colonial politics. She has been involved in various researches starting from village government, traditional government, and democracy, and the newest one is on climate conflict in the energy transition.
