Election Governance Education Program

Elections have become an important mechanism in the institutionalization of democracy in Indonesia. Therefore, strong human resources are needed to oversee quality and fair elections. In collaboration with the General Elections Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), DPP organizes an Election Governance Education Program aimed at postgraduate students who are concentrating on Election Governance. The program will equip students with analytical and practical competencies by encouraging understanding of macro and micro aspects of election management.

The main objective of the Election Governance Education Program is to improve the quality of human resources to become more professional, with integrity, and accountable, in order to improve the quality of general elections in Indonesia, namely elections that can facilitate the political rights of citizens based on the principles of direct, general, free, confidential, honest and fair. Through the lecture process that involves more active methods, students will also be encouraged to find real solutions for more transparent, accountable and democratic election management. The main beneficiaries of this program are election organizers in Indonesia (KPU and BAWASLU), but opportunities are still open to the general public, such as activists.
