Election Governance Education Program

Elections have become an important mechanism in the institutionalization of democracy in Indonesia. Therefore, strong human resources are needed to oversee quality and fair elections. In collaboration with the General Election Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu), the DPP organizes an Election Governance Education Program aimed at postgraduate students who take Election Governance concentrations. The program will equip students with analytical and practical competences by encouraging understanding of macro and micro aspects of election management.

The main objective of the Election Governance Education Program is to improve the quality of human resources to become more professional, integrated, and accountable, in order to improve the quality of general election administration in Indonesia, namely elections that can facilitate the political rights of citizens based on direct, general, free, confidential, honest and fair. Through a lecture process that involves a more active method, students will also be encouraged to find real solutions for more transparent, accountable and democratic election management. The main beneficiaries of this program are election organizers in Indonesia (KPU and BAWASLU), but still open opportunities for the general public, such as activists.
