Sigit Pamungkas, M.A.
Sigit Pamungkas completed his undergraduate degree at the Government Science Programme, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UGM, in 2001, and received his master’s degree from the Political Sciences Postgraduate Programme, Postgraduate School, UGM, in 2009. He served as the commissioner of the Indonesian General Elections Commission from 2012 to 2017, and as executive director of the Institute For Democracy and Welfarism (2007–2012). His research interests and expertise include Election Management, Political Parties, and Parliament. He has also served as an international observer in elections in Ecuador (2013), Washington (2014), Sri Lanka (2015), and South Korea (2016). Furthermore, he has advised elections in New York, Russia, Cuba, Morocco, Canada, Brazil, and Hong Kong/Macau. His book Perihal Pemilu (On Elections) was published by the Politics and Government Programme Laboratory in 2009.

Sigit Pamungkas is currently serving an assignment to another institution outside the Department of Politics and Government, so he has not been involved in lecture activities at the Department of Politics and Government.
