Arya Budi completed his undergraduate studies at the Government Science Programme, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UGM (2011), and his master’s studies at the Australian National University (2016). Since 2019, he has been undertaking his doctorate studies at the Universitas Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Before teaching at DPP, Arya worked as a Research Manager at the Pol-Tracking Institute in Jakarta. His research interests include Voter Behaviour, Political Parties, and Elections. Arya actively writes in national and local mass media.

Arya Budi is currently carrying out a study assignment to continue his doctorate studies, so he has not been involved in lecture activities at the Department of Politics and Government.
