Guest Lecture: Factors and Strategies in Political Risk Analysis

The Department of Politics and Government invited Sufintri Rahayu as the Director of Corporate Affairs & Sustainability of Nestlé Indonesia in the Political Risk: Analysis and Management course session.

This guest lecture was held in a hybrid way on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the Lab. Big Data Room,  Fisipol UGM and the Zoom platform, attended by ± 20 students offline and others online.

Sufintri presented material on the topic of Understanding Political Risks & Implication to Business. Political risks are a type of risk faced by investors, companies, and governments.

Certain political decisions, events, or conditions can significantly affect the profitability of a business or the expected value of economic actions. Managing this risk requires a thoughtful approach and careful investment planning.

At that session, Sufintri emphasized that in assessing risks, we must be able to differentiate it into three types; macro, micro, and geopolitical.
