Citizen Engagement and Natural Resource Governance Education (CitRes-Edu)
is research-based educational collaborative project between three institutions: Department of Geography, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU); Department of Politics and Government, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Gadjah Mada University (UGM); and the Faculty of Geography, UGM. The main objective of this project is to develop and strengthen educational partnerships that are research-based and have relevance for post-campus work life between NTNU and UGM.
A special topic on which the project will focus is the dynamics between transnational natural resource governance and local community engagement. To achieve this goal, this project has four sub-objectives, as follows:
- Implement and institutionalize a concentration of Natural Resources Politics in the UGM Masters program in Politics and Governance;
- Encouraging internationalization within the UGM Department of Politics and Government, with an emphasis on the concentration of Natural Resources Politics in its master program and on the Doctoral program of Politics and Government;
- Strengthening the internationalization of the existing master program in the Department of Geography, NTNU; and
- Developing inclusive education that is open to all groups.
Proyek ini berlangsung selama empat (4) tahun sejak 2019. Aktivitas utama dari proyek ini adalah pertukaran mahasiswa magister di antara tiga pihak, dengan spesifikasi:
- 20 UGM master students go to NTNU for one semester to take part in a coursework in the Master of Globalization and Sustainable Development program, NTNU;
- 18 NTNU master students go to UGM for one semester to do internships, field work, or coursework in the Masters of Arts in Politics and Government;
- 3 UGM doctoral program students or researchers go to NTNU for one semester to undertake a PhD mobility program; and
- 1 NTNU doctoral student goes to UGM for one semester to undertake a PhD mobility program.
