Rahmayani is a researcher at the Research Centre for Politics and Government (PolGov) Department of Politics and Government, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada. In 2020, she completed her undergraduate study at the Department of Politics and Government. She has been involved in some research projects on the politics of natural resources and democracy. Her latest research activities are “Promoting Social Accountability in the Extractive Sector through Multi-Stakeholder Forum” (2021, with Publish What You Pay Indonesia and Global Partnership for Social Accountability), “Voluntary Sustainability Standards Scheme in Natural Resources” (2021, with the University of Melbourne, Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and La Universidad de Posgrado del Estado), as well as “Carbonscapes at a Critical Conjuncture: The Uncertainties and Dilemmas of Statecraft in Petroleum-Producing Nations” (2021, with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology). Currently, she is also involved in the project “Citizens Participation in Resource Governance and Sustainable Transition (SUSTAIN-NORHED).
